What Students will Learn

  • Students will learn about opioids, the history of fentanyl and the different types of fentanyl analogs.

  • Students will discover where fentanyl is commonly found, how accidental exposures occur, and why fentanyl is mixed into common street drugs.

  • After completing this course, students will be able to identify signs of a fentanyl cutting or pill press operation.

  • Students will understand how fentanyl enters the body and the most common methods of accidental exposure.

  • Students will recognize situations that “Shout Watch Out” and the steps needed to protect themselves, co-workers, and guests.

  • Students will also become familiar with the “Stop Work Authority Process,” take-home hazards, and the actions to take if they or a co-worker are exposed to fentanyl.

  • Our course also provides training on when and how to administer Naloxone and reviews the Good Samaritan Law. (This portion of the training can be removed per company request)
